Company Overview
Doing business since 1992, Davis & Associates, Inc. is a minority owned and operated Construction Management and General Contracting firm, and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Davis & Associates, Inc., specializes in industrial, institutional, retail, commercial, and construction services. Gary Davis is experienced in all aspects of general construction, having started his career as a laborer in 1983. Gary’s leadership abilities were recognized by his peers early, leading to several promotions during his 9-year career at Diablo Group Construction.
He brings this expert knowledge and his management capabilities to Davis & Associates, Inc., which he founded in 1992. Gary and his company are known throughout Central Indiana as professional in work ethics and dependable to provide exceptionally high-quality craftsmanship. This reputation for excellent work has become the company’s trademark, showing exactly why Davis & Associates is in such high demand, and continues to demonstrate consistent growth.
Mike Woodson
Business Development Consultant

Mike Woodson has been a key figure in the growth and development of Davis & Associates, Inc. from the very start. He has done the same in the life of Gary Davis, his nephew.
A proven leader in several arenas, recently retired from IU Bloomington as head, previously, Mike was the head coach of the NBA's New York Knicks; and the Atlanta Hawks for six years. After spending one extremely successful season as an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons, where the team won the 2004 NBA Championship. Before going to Detroit, Mike spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers. He also served as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers (1999-01) and the Milwaukee Bucks (1996-99).
As an NBA player, Woodson spent eleven seasons playing for seven different teams. He was drafted 12th in the 1980 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks after graduating from Indiana University. While at IU, Mike guided the Hoosiers to the 1979 NIT Championship and was voted MVP of the tournament. He was named Big Ten Conference MVP in 1980. He was also a co-captain of the gold-medal winning 1979 U.S. Pan American Games Team.

Ron Keough

He has over forty-five (45) years of experience in the construction industry. Ron has also managed and implemented EEO policies for the company. He has overseen and coordinated State and Federal Projects throughout the State; and manages all out-of-state projects.
Through the implementation of design phases, Ron has collaborated closely with owners, architects, and in-house estimators.

Bret Chaney
Project Manager
Over 35 Years of Experience
bret@davisassocindy.comMr. Chaney has over Thirty-five (35) years of superintendent experience managing all field operations on projects assigned to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project.
Mr. Chaney project assignments include numerous Eli Lilly & Company projects, and Government Agency projects, new construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects.

Tracy Short
Project Manager
Over 30 Years of Experience
tracy@davisassocindy.comMr. Short’s oversight of the Eskenazi Health General Conditions bid package in Indianapolis, Indiana, a project that demanded meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of large-scale healthcare construction.
More recently, he has demonstrated his exceptional strategic foresight by simultaneously managing a variety of projects for both Ivy Tech Community College and AT&T.
Prior to a distinguished civilian career, Mr. Short served with distinction in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, responsible for running various USAF projects.

Jason Weitzel

Estimates aimed towards industrial, institutional, industry, commercial, and government building projects. Also, Mr. Weitzel has knowledge in conceptual budgets; interpreting plans, specifications, and proposals to generate budgets that includes quantity of materials, equipment, various incidentals (i.e., taxes, insurance, performance and payment bonds, consent of surety, building permits, contingencies, workforce), and schedule timelines.

kevins@davisassocindy.comMr. Sexton has over (35) years of experience in the construction industry, which includes estimates of projects over $12.1M. Estimates are aimed towards industrial, institutional, industry, commercial, and government building projects.
Mr. Sexton also has knowledge in interpreting plans, specifications, and proposals to generate budgets that includes quantity of materials; equipment; various incidentals (i.e., taxes, insurance, performance and payment bonds, consent of surety, building permits, contingencies, workforce), and schedule required to complete projects.
